- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Whatcom County
It is the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Washington to improve the quality of life for children in our community by building supporting relationships between children and positive role models.
Big Brothers & Big Sisters is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, friendship and fun to children throughout Whatcom County.
The goal is for the children to reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships.

There are several mentoring programs available to become involved in: the Community-Based Mentoring Program and the School Buddies Program.
As a nonprofit agency they rely on numerous volunteers to help with many other tasks required to operate the agency including administrative and fundraising activities.

- Boys and Girls Club of Whatcom County
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
Program features are based on physical, emotional, and social needs and interests. They offer young people what they need and want most: adults who respect and listen to them, and a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves.
The Club provides youths with citizen and leadership development, cultural enrichment, health and physical education, outdoor and environmental education, social recreation, and personal and educational development.
