The world is waiting for a savior. We see it all around us. We want economic salvation. We want environmental salvation. We want personal salvation. So we just keep waiting and hoping that the next great leader or discovery or bail-out will finally save us. And yet while the world waits those who trust in Jesus worship. They worship the Savior of the world who has come not to fix our mortgages but to give us an inheritance that will never perish. Not to improve the world but to recreate it perfectly. And as the only one who can provide salvation through the forgiveness of sins. This advent season we are celebrating the arrival of Christ and the hope that He will come again in a three part series based on Isaiah 9. May God in His grace help us see the only one who is truly worth waiting for this Christmas season.
